The agreement that governs your use of MapMend, made by Steamboat Software LLC. Please read it carefully.
Our services
MapMend is a travel companion app. Keep using the map app you already know; MapMend adds live traffic, driving weather and your calendar, so you know what’s ahead before you leave.
Free trial and subscription
MapMend is free to download and free to try for 14 days. After the trial, continued use of MapMend requires an annual subscription. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you subscribe, and you are never charged until you confirm.
Subscriptions are purchased through, and billed and managed by, your Apple ID or Google Play account. You can review, manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your account settings on the App Store or Google Play. Refunds and billing questions are handled under the store’s own policies.
Drive safely
MapMend is not a substitute for attentive driving or your own judgement. Always keep your eyes on the road, obey traffic laws and posted signs, and follow the directions of police and road authorities, even when they differ from what MapMend shows. Don’t handle your phone while driving; set up your trip before you leave or have a passenger do it.
Traffic, weather and road-condition information may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and conditions can change quickly. Use it as a guide, not a guarantee, and decide for yourself whether a route is safe.
MapMend is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call your local emergency services. Most smartphones can place an emergency call from the lock screen without unlocking the phone.
Combating harmful conduct
People share openly when they feel safe and welcome. Do not use MapMend for hateful or harmful activities.
Do not use MapMend if
- You are prohibited from receiving our products, services or software under applicable laws; or
- We previously suspended your use of MapMend for violating our terms or policies.
Acceptable use
You agree not to engage in, or help others engage in, the following. You may not use our products: in a way that violates these Terms or related policies; in a way that is unlawful; to upload viruses or malicious code, or to do anything that could disable, overburden or impair our products; to access our servers or data you do not have permission to access; or to disassemble or reverse-engineer our products.
Protecting children
Users must not share, upload or solicit any content involving the sexual exploitation of children. Violations result in content removal and a permanent ban. If you suspect any such violation, report it immediately to local law enforcement and notify us at support@steamboatsoftware.com.
No service level agreement
We make no stated or implied service-level agreement or assurance of availability. MapMend uses your device’s data over cellular and/or Wi-Fi connections, and service will vary with your network’s strength and speed. We do not assume responsibility for those data services. You assume full responsibility for cellular and Wi-Fi data consumption, usage fees and roaming fees.

How MapMend handles information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Updating our terms
We work constantly to improve our services and may need to update these Terms from time to time to reflect our services and practices. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time without notice.
Limits of liability
Our products are provided “as is,” and we make no guarantees that they will always be safe, secure, accurate or error-free, or that they will function without disruptions, delays or imperfections. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether expressed or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
We do not control what people do or say and are not responsible for their actions, conduct or content. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, under no circumstances will we be liable to you for any travel delays, missed appointments, lost profits, revenues, loss of information or data, or consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive or incidental damages arising out of or related to these Terms or our products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability will not exceed $1 USD.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or MapMend will be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Larimer County, Colorado, or the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
